The Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training has just informed, the Vietnamese student delegation attended the 30th International Biological Olympiad (IBO) won 1 Silver medal and 03 Bronze medals. Students Ha Vu Huyen Linh - High School for Natural Sciences, VNU won the Bronze Medal.

Hoang Minh Trung - Lam Son specialized high school, Thanh Hoa won the best achievement with the only Silver medal.

The other three children won the Bronze Medal: Duong Tung Lam - Phan Boi Chau High School, Nghe An, Ha Vu Huyen Linh - High School for Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, VNU and Hoang Thi Huyen Trang - Hung Vuong High School, Phu Tho.

The achievement of this year's Olympic Biology team is lower than the last two years. In 2017, Vietnam won a Gold Medal, two Silver Medals. In 2018, the number of gold medals is three, one is Silver. In particular, Nguyen Phuong Thao - High School for Natural Sciences, VNU achieved the highest total score of the entire competition.

However, the Quality Management Department said that the results of 100% of students with medals have continued to affirm the right direction of the education sector in the work of discovering, selecting and fostering good students.

The 30th International Biological Olympics in 2019 was held in Szeged City (Hungary) with the participation of 285 contestants from 75 countries and territories.
