VIETNAM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, HANOI – A CONVERGENCE OF REPUTATION AND AMBITION OF VIETNAM HIGHER EDUCATION

Considered as a symbol intelligence and Vietnam education with over a hundred years of history, formerly known as the University of Indochina, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) is entrusted with the task of training high quality human resources for the nation’s development.

VNU is built on the basis of inheriting the quintessence and rich academic traditions of the University of Indochina since 1906 and Vietnam National University since 1945.

Many fields of VNU are featured in Top 500 best global universities by subject. Notably, VNU has recently been named in the group of 801-1,000 best global universities for the third consecutive time by QS.

VNU has a scientific staff of more than 2,000 out of the total of over 4,000 staff and faculty. VNU has the highest percentage of lecturers with doctorate degrees among Vietnam’s higher education institutions, with more than 1,300 Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Science and more than 70 Professors.
